Best Way To Clean Your Football Visor

Criticism is easy (repeat)

To finish the year in style (yes, really!), I give you, dear readers, among other things, some of my recent readings.

First of all, I loved Alone in Berlin by Hans Fallada . This monument of German literature chronicles the daily life in Berlin during the Second World War. Of course, it ends badly, it expects the outset: indeed, how could they hope resistant escape this time? That said, the end, rustic, still leaves a slight hope. I suggest you read at all: the novel is long, but exciting and it reads quickly because we want to know what happens to the characters created by Hans Fallada. 9 / 10

By cons, Cinq Mars by Alfred de Vigny deserves, in my opinion, just a 6 / 10. Severity when you hold us? Nay! But this first novel of the Romantic movement is not yet up to the future Hugo and Dumas, nor by the depth of the characters or by the springs of action: we do not understand why Cinq-Mars, if honored by King and Cardinal, will suddenly hatching a conspiracy against the same Cardinal certainly aging and ailing but still powerful.

last reading date, not yet complete: the biography of Charles-Maurice de Talleyrand, by Emmanuel Waresquiel. Monumental work, if any, 650 pages read quickly enough anyway. The author shows the full extent of his scholarship, thanks in part to a series of unpublished documents. I still have not finished my reading, so I will not go beyond 8 / 10 for now.

Turning to the TV ... I watched this Friday My beloved bloopers at RTBF ... It was obviously a succession of falls, slips, crazy laughter, very comical blunders, it is true. Also a great moment: the imitation of Michel Daerden by Guy Lemaire. But the pathos came in person: that is the solemn entry of the Minister himself, still drunk with happiness (!!!). At the risk of repeating myself, it was pathetic. To see the head of Jean-Pierre Hautier after the answer is incomprehensible that the Miniss' had given him ... And then I send a message to my fellow citizens out of pity, stop voting for this disaster street ... who would rather need an ambulance ...

Also seen on TV last night: One Swallow Brought Spring , with Michel Serrault in top form in the role of an old Farmer of the Cevennes, a little misanthropic but ultimately endearing too. The end of the film is open to invent. 8 / 10

Finally, a movie night with Eragon me back in the same universe as Narnia and Lord of the Rings : Good against Evil, monstrous creatures, the evil magician, and of course the many hardships that the young hero must cross before defeat evil. So a rehash of everything we have already seen elsewhere, with the addition of a beautiful strap (for the uninitiated, it is a female dragon), and with all cast absolutely impressive: Jeremy Irons, John Malkovich, Robert Carlyle, Garrett Hedlund, who had been seen in the role of Patroclus (Troy ). So I assigned a 7.5 / 10.

Good reading and good vision at all! ...

Tiffany & Julie Ashton Night Calls

Democracy in Schools: Spring

March 21, Institut Sainte-Marie de Chatelet began the era of democracy. This day was rich in emotions and encounters.

5 students th and 6 th years of high school had an appointment at half past eight in the study hall for an oral presentation, taking the whole of the day, given by teachers who organized the day: Mrs. A., Mrs. V. and B. Previously, the director of the Institute, ML, had stressed the importance of such a day, which " goal is education for citizenship more than a pedagogical .

Then at nine o'clock, the first of three events beginning with the enthusiasm and interest of students and guests to end at half past ten. After this workshop, students were all gathered to share a convivial moment while enjoying a delicious meal provided by the organizers. About eleven o'clock they then went to their second appointment with an appetite for more and more voracious cultural enrichment and intellectual and an enormous desire for openness to the world. They again shared their emotions with the distinguished guests for an hour and a half. A break of one hour then allowed them to unwind and dine to tackle the end of the day. The workshop continued until last fifteen hours, and finally, students were asked to rank the locations of the debates.

But more important than planning, it was the twelve workshops, their content and guests. Thus, " justice, public service " was orchestrated by Thierry Marchandise, former Attorney King's in Charleroi for many years. Recently, he decided to resign after a clear mandate to become full justice to Gosselies and thus be closer to population problems.

Secondly, "The journalism and freedom of the press " was represented by two industry professionals. The duo of reporters, including Rudy Hermans (radio journalist RTBF) and Yvan Scoy (print) warned students against the great influence that the media can have on young people through information. Another journalist of RTBF David Lallemand (the program "When young meddle "), invited his listeners to learn intelligently.

Moreover, Paul Magonet, corporate trainer, tried to teach students to be responsible for their actions through games showing the importance of collective consultation before any decision.

The political world has also been honored by two workshops. The first act saw a representative from each party Francophone Democratic politics: for example, Anne-Marie Corbisier and Véronique Salvi for the HRC, Joelle Kapompole for the PS, Jean-Marc Nollet for Ecolo and Philippe Fontaine MR. The second workshop on the policy was supported by Etienne Bertrand, mayor of Sombreffe, and focused on democracy and citizenship at the local level.

Additional workshops were also offered to students: the gestures and democratic citizens, fair trade, Amnesty International, to end with two "witnesses to the unspeakable "Henry and Chil Kichka Elberg, both survivors of death camps.

The students participated in this event with great enthusiasm. According to Julian T., Rhaeto student, " To keep the system fair and honest, we must preserve democracy, which is in my view, vote, have duties but also rights. I think this is not the best system, but this is not the worst. Having attended the workshop on justice and the media, I thought it was awesome: the presenters were receptive, accessible and quite convincing. " Another student Rhaeto, Samuel W, said: " I think this day was interesting and could, unfortunately I was disappointed by two workshops, one in particular (leadership), where I did not expect to conduct workshop. It was quite an experience, I think most of the guests were able to convey a message of peace, tolerance and democracy . Julie C. adds that " stakeholders were very diverse and happy to be there, students had also looked happy ... The session saw the joy and good humor, and students have come to realize that democracy was not only on paper .

Democracy in Schools: Mechelen Breendonck

On January 27, 2006, students of rhetoric Institute Sainte-Marie Châtelet left the barracks discover Dossin and Fort Breendonck. A visit to the place of departure of the deportations of Jews from Belgium.

's birthday the liberation of Auschwitz, while a group of 26 students from St. Mary's Institute of Châtelet had them fly at dawn, the rest of rhetoricians came after about two hours because Dossin barracks in Mechelen. For prisoners of the Second World War was the starting point towards a certain death. The barracks was turned into a museum for youth Châtelet symbol. Indeed they were departing from tracks that led to Auschwitz, where there was another part of the students.

Firstly, the guide showed attentive to the group of pictures telling the story of Jews in chronological order. Accounted for some Jewish families, on the other ghettos, the resistance, orphaned children and, finally, the German soldiers.

After passing through several rooms that told the history of genocide, a film based on the testimony of a survivor lit up the visit in a more personal and touching.

In conclusion of this first visit, emotion could be read on the faces of all, especially in the hall of the convoys, where young people actually able to realize the magnitude and cruelty of the deportations.

Then at Fort Breendonck, a very friendly guide was waiting for the Jewish group. The tone was set by the visit of the entrance of the fort. There, the students could readily understand the situation in which prisoners were awaiting interrogation.

Indeed, resonance, low luminosity, confinement, their imprisonment rendered very difficult.

After visiting a few other rooms, they found with dismay the unhealthy conditions in which prisoners lived. To illustrate this fact, after 60 years, the smell of this lack of hygiene still reigns over the fort.

The torture chamber was the next step. There still exist some instruments of torture and swales that allow blood to flow. This room is located next to the bedrooms. In this way, the prisoners could hear the ordeal that awaited them.

Finally, by touring the fort, all were seized by the cold without power hunt for their thoughts prisoners who were half-naked live in such conditions.

All came out stronger from this experience. The cruelty of men, and especially the visit of these places of memory has enabled them to realize that everyone is responsible for the future of humankind and that everyone at his level, can prevent such tragedy from happening again.

and Democracy in Schools: Executive Auschwitz

Throughout the year, the rhetoricians of the Institut Sainte-Marie de Chatelet were carried by a project called "Schools for Democracy .

A highlight of this project was without doubt the trip to the concentration camps and extermination at Auschwitz.

January 27, 2006, 26 students from Rhaeto, their 3 teachers and their manager are gone before dawn. This trip was organized by the Centre for Equal Opportunities, with logistical and financial departments of Defense and Integration social.

The group was accompanied by former deportees, as Chil Elberg, Witness "attributed" to Sainte-Marie.

After landing, it was the discovery of snowy landscapes Poland. despite the freezing cold, the welcome of the local authorities had the warmest. During an hour because the Polish plains desert, but so full of emotion, took place, highlighting a striking contrast between the modern European world and the misery caused by deprivation Communists.

The arrival at camp froze the blood of all, even more than the unusually cold for even a harsh Polish winter.

Indeed, the concentration camp atmosphere that prevailed in these places was just as overwhelming as the polar temperatures, less than 17 ° C arriving in Krakow at 10:30.

In small steps, the group crossed the gate of Auschwitz horrible, infamous, and Mr. Elberg brought direct testimony in addition to the detailed information of the guide.

On this day of 27 January 2006, the emotion was twofold, as was also the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz by the Soviet army. The former deportees and official delegations flocked to lay wreaths of flowers in commemoration of the dead in this sad period of history.

Throughout the day, students were able to grasp, touch their hands of Nazi barbarism, still palpable to every corner of Auschwitz and Birkenau.

The afternoon was indeed devoted to visiting the remains of Auschwitz II. Wooden barracks, the women's quarters, latrines, ruins of the gas chambers and crematoria: all this has moved the group and has raised awareness of the cruelty of which men are capable. But the most poignant moment was certainly the story of Chil Elberg, in the same barracks where he was detained.

Red Dot Sight Bow Reviews

Democracy in schools: executive summary of year

Democracy in Schools: just a theory? Institut Sainte-Marie de Chatelet was able this year to prove otherwise!

all started last year when the class of 5 th social and educational sciences from the Institut Sainte-Marie de Chatelet has shown a keen interest in World War II. Their history teacher, Mrs. V., could only respond to this call by inviting Kichka Henry, a survivor of the death camps, to come and tell them about his painful past. The students were all very shaken by emotion pervades the gaze of the questioner.

In fall 2005, the school hosted an exhibit loaned by the Auschwitz Foundation throughout the month of October: "The world of the concentration of 1914-1945 .

Then, through the Community French, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Social Integration and Equal Opportunities, January 27, 2006, some students have flew to Auschwitz: the trip allowed them to see reality the draft a year. But all students are unfortunately unable to attend this fabulous journey: that is why their comrades went to Mechelen and visited Fort Breendonck and the Dossin barracks, whence the Belgian Jews to Auschwitz . Rhaeto students found themselves on the same day, departing and arriving trains deported. One could not imagine a more poignant symbol.

could not stay there, the infernal trio, composed of ladies V. and A. and Mr. B. wanted to immerse students more concretely in the democracy. Then the spring of the same name has imposed itself. On March 21, 2006, the school welcomed a host of personalities from varied fields: journalists, politicians, psychologists, survivors and volunteers. All were present.

This day was designed to immerse students in a reflection so as to lead to an awareness of the importance of democratic movements daily. It is obvious that the main objective of this day is to prevent at all costs that the horrors of wars recurrence. Now all students at the Institute feels a mission.

The speakers were very well received by students who came out very rich and the day of these meetings. Theories of their teachers have finally made sense to them. They are eager to see happen next spring!

In conclusion, it is undeniable that these activities have been beneficial for everyone, even the least motivated. All were affected by either a witness or by another studio. An exhibition, a journey testimony, a symposium, all of this, it must be remembered, thanks to a passionate class!

Red Bumps On Stomach And Pubic Place

Democracy in Schools: Preamble

At the end of 2006, it is a subject that is on everyone's lips: democracy. And more so since the pseudo-separation of Flanders seen by a RTBF wrong audience.

I'd like to read texts that were written by my students of rhetoric the month of May (at the time, I did not have a blog yet ...). These texts are a synthesis of project experience throughout the school year, which saw two first time forts.Le held January 27, 2006: 26 students, 3 teachers (including me) and their director were visited Auschwitz and Birkenau in the project Schools for Democracy, organized by the Ministry for Equal Opportunities and sponsored by the Center for Equal Opportunity . Parallel to this trip to Poland, other rhétos visited Dossin barracks in Mechelen and Fort Breendonck.

The second moment occurred inside the school March 21, 2006: it was the Spring Democracy, where we invited a range of actors of democracy: men and women politicians, journalists, former Prosecutor of King Charleroi Thierry Marchandise, representatives of NGOs, including Amnesty International , etc.. The objective of this day was to allow dialogue between students from 5 th and 6 th years of hand, and secondly these "professionals" of democracy.

This year, in January 2007, we put the cover over 60 rhétos leave a few days in Poland from 29 January to 2 February, to visit Auschwitz and Birkenau, but also the beautiful city of Krakow. Then, on March 22 will be held the second annual Spring Democracy, which this time will try to answer the question: " rules, what's the point? "

One final note: for obvious reasons respect for privacy, I will indicate only the initials of the students.

All your comments, your questions are welcome.
