D avid Liss in a note from his blog says that in the short term it does not intend to write a fourth novel featuring Benjamin Weaver, after A Conspiracy of Paper (which I mentioned in this post then ) A Spectacle of Corruption (I have not read it yet) and The Devil's Company (which I recently published my criticism ).
one hand, because he did not want to retreat into writing a series, and secondly because that the two books in this series that followed A Conspiracy of Paper did not sell as well as the first, so that his publisher had "actively discouraged from publishing another sequel. "
Yet David Liss does not eliminate the prospect of continuing this series, if such was his pleasure. Readers wishing that David Liss continues to live Benjamin Weaver in new adventures have only to show their impatience directly from the author.
Note that, in the same post, David Lisse said that he had signed with the film production company Scott Free, brothers Ridley and Tony Scott, option contracts on his novel A Conspiracy of Paper. But he is realistic and knows that an option on the rights do not always materialize in the film, and that even if this happens, the delay between the signing of the option and the realization of a film can be very long.
